King Comes Back From Break StrongAfter a two week layoff over the winter break, the Wolves came back with a strong showing and a victory over Elsinore. Christin Boebinger scored the first goal of the game followed by a goal by Abby York and three by Stephanie Glendenning. King played a strong zone defense to hold the Tigers to one goal during the period. The quarter ended with the score 5-1. The second period started with Elsinore scoring the first goal after only 39 seconds. Then it was all King. Stephanie scored three more, while Cassie Luna tallied one of her own. The period ended with the score 9-2. The third period had the Tigers scoring the first goal again after only 27 seconds. Then King took over the scoring again. Abby found the back of the goal twice, and Stephanie scored her seventh goal of the game. Rebecca Lisonbee scored her first varsity goal of her career to put the Wolves up 13-4. The final period saw Cassie score a strong goal on a man-up situation and Stephanie score her eighth and final goal of the game. The Wolves kept the Tigers scoreless as the game ended with a 15-4 King victory. For stats click HERE JV Start To Play Big Time PoloThe JV started the game with the help of some of the varsity players but ended up with a little help and their second league victory. Dayna Van Gorder, playing down at JV to get some 2m practice scored a game high six goals before being pulled for the game for her domination of the visiting Tigers. Meghan Richli added three of goals of her own, while Lauren Boebinger scored two more. Megan Sherrick scored her first water polo goal during the game to help the Wolves to a 13-2 win.
