Varsity Wins Season's First League Game

The Wolves traveled to Perris and walked away with a 17-2 win over the Perris Panthers. Stephanie Glendenning scored ten seconds into the game to start the first period. Christin Boebinger scored one and Abby York tallied two before Stephanie scored with forty seconds left in the period to give the Wolves a 5-0 lead after the first quarter.

Christin and Abby alternated goals for the Wolves, each scoring two goals apiece before Cassie Luna scored to build a 9-0 lead at the half. Stephanie scored two during the third period in addition to a goal by Christin and Cassie. Up through the half, Lindsay Nichols held the Panthers scoreless. The defense finally broke down and allowed a goal by the Panthers to end the third quarter with King up 13-1.

The final period saw Stephanie, Christin, and Abby each score one goal, while Katie Johnson scored her only goal of the game. The defense again only allowed one goal to end the game with a 17-2 win. For stats click HERE

JV's Win Big Over Panthers

Lead by a six goal game by Lauren Boebinger, the Wolves beat the Perris JV 15-2. Lauren scored five of the first six goals of the game, while Dayna Van Gorder scored the other goal of the period as the Wolves cruised to a 6-0 lead.

Meghan Richli scored two and Dayna scored one, while Tiffany Couch continued the first half shut-out tradition. During the third period Meghan scored two more goals and while Dayna added her last goal of the game. Samantha Chalfy scored her first goal of the game to bring the Wolf lead to 9-0.

The last period, the Wolves slowed the game down, working on their offensive set. Lauren scored the only goal of the period while the Panthers found the back of the net twice to end the game with a 15-2 victory.
