Girls Varsity Dominates Valley ViewValley View visited the King pool and came away beaten 14-5 by the Wolves. The Wolves took a two goal lead at the beginning of the game behind goals by Christin Boebinger and Abby York before the Eagles got on the board. The scoring continued with Christin and Abby each adding one while Stephanie Glendenning got her first for the game. The quarter ended with the Wolves up 5-1. The scoring continued during the second period. Abby and Stephanie each scored two, while Cassie Luna added one of her own. Valley View scored two to make the halftime score 10-3 in favor of the Wolves. The third quarter saw the Wolves slow down the scoring but keeping the defense tight. Cassie scored her second goal, while the Eagles were allowed only one. The quarter ended with King up 11-4. During the final quarter the Eagles lost two of their eight players to ejections and elected to play a man down for the last five minutes of play. The Wolves used the opportunity to work on their extra-man offense, while playing even on the defensive end. Christin and Stephanie each scored one goal and rookie Lauren Boebinger scored her first varsity goal. The Eagles were held to one goal to make the final score 14-5. For stats click HERE JV Team DefeatedThe JV team played a strong game against the Valley View Eagles, but were unable to get the win. The Eagles took the lead early in the first quarter and held on to it to end the period up 2-1. The only King goal was scored by Emily Neumann. During the second period the Wolves were shutout while the Eagles scored three of their own to end the half with 5-1 lead. The third period was closer with both teams scoring two each. Dayna Van Gorder and Sami Chalfy each had one goal for the Wolves to end the period with the score 7-3 in favor of the Eagles. The final period was not a good one for King as they were out scored 6-0 to end the game with a 3-13 defeat.
