SUCCESS AT CIF!!!Katie Johnson, Mandie Collier, Erica Nelson, and Emily Neuman started out the meet with a 15th place finish in the medley relay. Kevin Heitmann began his meet by dropping .96 seconds from his prelim time in the 200IM to finish 14th in a time of 2:09.00. That was followed by Mandie Collier placing 11th in the butterfly in a 1:02.87. Two events later she swam to an 11th place finish in the 500 with a 5:26.64. Charlile Holderman moved up two places in his 500 to place 11th in a personal best time of 5:06.68. The girls 4x50 freestyle relay continued the time drops by clocking a 1:47.65 after Katie, Dayna Van Gorder, Emily, and Mandie got out of the pool. Katie Johnson swam to an 11th place finish in the backstroke with an amazing time of 1:05.32. Then, during the final swim of the season by a King swimmer, Kevin Heitmann swam to a sixth place finish in his backstroke, going 57.97 and moving up two places. Everyone Returns to CIF Finals, Kevin Heitmann Qualifies For Top 8After a day of fantastic swims, everyone of the swimmers who qualified for CIF returns for the second day of finals. The girls medley relay, consisting of Katie Johnson, Mandie Collier, Erica Nelson, and Emily Neumann, swam faster than their qualifying time and return for the Thursday's consolation heat. The 4x50 relay of Mandie, Emily, Katie, and Dayna Van Gorder also returns for the consolation heat. Mandie Collier also returns in the butterfly and 500, as does Charlie Holderman in the 200 and 500. Katie Johnson will be competing in the backstroke consolation heat along with Kevin Heitmann in the IM. But Kevin also had a fantastic swim in his backstroke to make the top eight finals Thursday night. Great job Wolves!!!!
