Tough Meet At Rubidoux
On a cold day, the Wolves traveled to Rubidoux and came away
with victory for the girls and a defeat for the boys.
Lauren Boebinger and Michelle Loera were again the big point
winners for the girls' JV with Lauren winning the IM and the breaststroke, while
Michelle won the 50 and the fly. Laura Bywater also won her two events, sweeping
the
200 and the backstroke. The three also teamed up to help win the medley
relay and the 4x100 freestyle relay. Katie De La Hoya had two great swims in the
200 and the breaststroke, finishing second behind other Wolves. The girls won
86-59.
The boys' JV showed improvement as Brock Carter placed second in
the 50, Beau Roucher finished second in the back, and Michael Torres earned
second in the breaststroke. The 4x100 freestyle team of Tom O'Donnell, Brock,
Beau, and Michael finished the meet with a first. The boys lost 37-70.
The girls' varsity dominated the meet with firsts in all but two
races. Katie Johnson, Emily Neumann, and Mandie Collier were strong as expected,
each winning both of their races. Becca Lisonbee placed second in both the IM
and the backstroke, while Christin Boebinger finished second in the 200. The
girls won 108-62.
The boys' varsity swam well, doing better than last year's team.
They were lead by Kevin Heitmann, who won both the IM and the backstroke. Jason
Kelly won his butterfly and Charlie Holderman won the 500. The boys lost 60-108.
